Current Events
(February 2012)

  1. First Sunday Open Studios. 40 artists including Georgia Annwell of the Novato Art Center at Hamilton Field host open studios the first Sunday of every month. 501 and 500 Palm Drive and 781 Hamilton Parkway, Novato, 11 – 4 pm.  Next event will be Sunday, March 4, 2012.
  2. ‘A Place to Paint for Intermediate and Advanced Water-based Painters’.  Ongoing atelier led by Georgia Annwell, takes place every Monday at the San Rafael Community Recreation Center, 618 B. St., San Rafael, 9 am – 3:30 pm.  Currently our space can accommodate 1 more member who may join at any time.
  3. MCWS (Marin County Watercolor Society).  30 Sir Francis Drake Blvd., Ross.  Reception for the ‘Spring Forays’ show, Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, 2 – 4 pm.
  4. S.F.W.A., (San Francisco Women’s Artists Gallery), 3489 Sacramento St., San Francisco.  Reception for the ‘Temptations’ show, Thurs., February 9,   5:30 – 7 pm.
  5. Reception for ‘Senior Artists of Marin’ show at CMCM (Marin TV), 819 A St., San Rafael.  Friday, Feb 10, 5 – 7 pm.  Hosted by Georgia Annwell.  Refreshments and live swing band of senior musicians.  Event will be filmed for Marin TV.

 

 

  • Georgia Annwell  hung her one-person show of senior artists of Marin portraits at CMCM (Marin TV channels 26, 27, 30), 819 A St., San Rafael on Jan 24, 2012.  This show fills 2 rooms with paintings and will extend until March 27.   The main reception was held the second Friday in Feb., Feb. 10, 2012, 5 – 7 pm.   This event was filmed for the purpose of promoting Marin senior artists.  Senior artists of Marin were welcome to bring a small sample of their work to the reception.

  4. MCWS (Marin County Watercolor Society) is holding it’s ‘Spring Forays’ show in the upper gallery of MSA within MAGC, 30 Sir Francis Drake Blvd., Ross.  One watercolor in this show.
  5. One work in the recently published book entitled ‘Zwanda and Forty-Eight Artists’, available through Blurb publications on-line.
